No major progress, but some important updates.
The body is in primer, which means everything is now in primer. Just have to prep and then spray color and clear.
Speaking of color, I have decided on a color change, but’s not the Jeep red on the grill I painted. I won’t name the color, until I’m closer to being finished. But here’s a few hints. First the hood in base coat (no clear). Second is one of the cobra fender pieces (in clear).
I noticed this color on a car in the parking lot where I work almost a year ago. With the decision to change colors and all the additional work that involves, I had to buy a quart and see if I like it. Decision made, I’m sold, this will be the color. This color is sensitive to the light source, so the phone doesn’t really show how it looks in person.
Also, finally found a deal on Recaros. After a 13 hour round trip, they’re mine.
I can’t believe how supportive and comfortable these are. Can’t wait to take a drive with them in the car. Can’t thank
@Mustang5L5 enough for sharing his knowledge.
And finally, the Black Friday purchase.
Not going for crazy numbers. Mainly want to eliminate the factory Eaton’s heat soak issues and make more power at similar boost levels.
Time to drop the k member, engine, and transmission. Engine bay and body will be painted next.
