i have a possum problem, and i am thinking about eraducating them...my method?...a gamo pellet rifle that shoots at 1200fps, will this penetrate completely through the skull of a possum from about 30-40 yards?...

If its the .22 caliber pellet rifle then YES definately. At 30yrds im not sure the .177 pellets will. Live trapping is the best bet then you can shoot them from 5'.

screw the pellet guns.....you need a .22 LR, its a nice little rifle that you can kill coons, possums, etc.....

personally between my dad and I we have

.22
.223 (good for prarie dogs)
.243 (good for coyotes)
.270 (great for deer)
.308 (good for buffalo and or deer)
.45-70 (awesome for buffalo)

multiple 12 gauges
youth 20 gauge
.44 magnum pistol
.50 cal black powder

and we have a hunting lodge, lots of pheasants out here in central SoDak....we had a buffalo hunt that will be on Buckmasters next year......

well if it were me heres what i would do...

i would set out some bait....then get into a camo Guili Suit
(snipers where them like bushes)

Then when the bastard marcupial takes the bait...JUMP 0UT and club him in the head for a sure Kill....But thats just me haha

if i wasnt a felon and didnt live in town i would be using my Mauser 6.5x55 swedish, but i cant...i actually have a ghillie suit though...heres the gamo...
