I have MSD Digital 6 and i am trying to hook up this 2-step

I know it needs 12volt power source applied and all, but the question is How/Where did you guys mount the switch? I want to see some pictures if you guys have any for the reference.

I have not be able to do this for a long time and i finally want to use this feature.

My car is 5 speed. I was trying to think where to put the switch and what method.

when i put the gear in 1st then i launch, So do i have to turn the switch off quick and slam in to 2nd? That seems like a lot of work...

I have no idea. Help me. Thanks:nice:

I made a switch enclosed in a small project box that I screwed down under the shift knob. Unfortunately I took it out to do some work, and I totally forgot where I put it. I'm looking for a normally closed relay to disable the nitrous when I'm on the launch rev limiter.

I don't think many people use that feature honestly. It doesn't help much. Even when I had it installed I didn't use it that much.

I've dyno'd quite a few cars with various setups. Last nite there was a car with a push button switch on a cord that could be tucked out the way when not in use, nice for a driver.

My favorite are the buttons on the shifters, transbrake style. We rewired the car last nite into a new shifter and removed the button on a cord in favor of this style setup.

I would use a shifter handle from astro performance Astroperformance.com - Your Manual Drivetrain Specialist

It has a push button on top of the shifter. You will use that button to make the contact between the ignition box and your 12v source. You can just tap into a 12v key hot source in the fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side. It is a basic setup. You'll just let off the button when you let off the clutch pedal.
