I think the ecoboost 2.3 mustang blew a head gasket . It stalled and there was a loud dragging sound and smoke but I wasn't dragging anything. The oil was overfilled and oil cap looked milky. And the car stopped running
Generally yes they can view logs if you didn't reset it manually.. Certainly sounds like a head gasket went and washed your bearings. Good luck you're going to have a fight ahead of you.Can they retrieve data on how the vehicle operated, like say if the engine was running lean for the past 9000 miles, would the vehicle record and log that information?
Yeah. But I gave up on it and had a mechanic do the plugs. They spent time blowing out and extracting the ceramic pieces out of the hole before removing the plug. Then they vacuumed out the hole as they pulled the plug. They carefully checked the hole with a mirror and flash light to to see if there were anymore pieces. Then they inspected the new plugs to make sure they would fit and then carefully installed each one. They were pretty thorough. Its possible that a piece of ceramic still was in there but I doubt it. I know if piece was large enough it can damage a lot. But the mechanic was pretty thorough and made sure they extracted anything they saw
