Can anyone tell me what this piece in the R/S fender on my 91 5.0 is???

Can someone tell me what this is?? Ih ave been tracing a mysterious vac line for a day or so, found it goes in the fender.. I have the ball resevoir there, but am missing this one. this pic is off a 1989, any diff with a 91??

weird i had the same thing, except it was int he engine bay and i put it in the fender well. i think its just an extra vaccum storage/ cannister thing.

It t's off the back of the TAD and TAB solenoids on the r/s of firewall near a/c dryer, one line has check valve and then they both go into one and that where it is cut.. With some help we traced it into fender and noticed I was missing this resevoir.... Just wanted to know the name so when I call ford I know what I want ..... lol

i always heard it was cruise control from a few people on here

Cruise control is in the drivers side fender well.. that is the passenger side fender well and it is simply a vacuum canister.

So what is it normally hooked up to? I have it but it's not hooked up to anything.

On a '91 it's for the EGR. Unless you've deleted your EGR valve you'll need it. I assume it's the same for other years, but can't say for sure.

Yes EGR and all emmisiosn equip still on, there is an answer I was lookin' for, thanks Spyne.... See I failed my e-test on the HC's at idle, so I started chasing vac line and found two broke, repaired other, but the one to this resevoir was a lil harder to find... Anyone know if a 92 4cyl would have this on it??

I want to say yes because I remember the cylinder shaped one being on my 93 4cyl when i did my 5.0 swap with an 89 donor car.
