I bought a 66 mustang in January, it is 90% original and runs great. Last week I went to start it and it was stone dead. OK, new battery, solenoid, alternator, voltage regulator, and battery cables. After all that it still keeps going dead. Finally i started pulling fuses. It ended up being the dome light circuit. I have had the dash clear apart and found no shorts. I know it has to be under the dash, but after checking all the jamb switches and glove box I am stumped as to why it would just short out at random one day. Is there anything else that runs off that circuit i may be missing? I have a wiring diagram and have checked all the related switches. It is alright for the moment, but like most classic car folks I want everything to work and be perfect.
