Exhaust ? for GT rear Valance

hello everyone.... ok so we got a GT rear valance and the trumpet tips when we purchased the fastback. This weekend my dad is having the guy paint it and put it on.. but i have a question about the set up of the tailpipes

Did the GT exhaust mount differently from the Fastbacks??? I'm putting 40's series mufflers on but i wasn't going to order the tailpipes until i knew for sure... Can I just buy a repro stock gt tailpipes and they will fit correctly out the back of the exhaust holes. And will it match up with the trumpet tips??? Thanks everyone

Are your 40s series flows the same size as the stock piping?

I think the trumpets go down to 2.25" if im not mistaken. you can order GT tailpipes and you will be fine.

If you want a nice 2.5" pipe that is 'chrome' and forgo the trumpets...DR GAS.com has what you need for about $160/pair free shipping.
