Fuel Presure Gage

Need to help a friend and I'm not sure about this one:

Motor: 347, heads, all the suporting..etc.

He wants to run a fuel presure gauge (liquid filled) from the sharader valve all the time. Now, is this safe given the temp inside the engine bay?

What will you guys recomend.

Is there only mechanical fuel pressure gauges available, or is their electrical ones available. I would say that if it is an outside mount visible through the window with a good seal it would be fine. But then again, i could be wrong.
