Gears (not the same ol' qustion)

Alright, I was doing some thinking. I have an AOD, I need some gears, I hear 4.10 minimum or at least 3.73. These answers seem to come from guys who run slicks when they go to the track. I, on the other hand, am more interested in traction on the street with street tires. I will probably never run slicks. I have a mild 2000 rpm stall and 255/50/16 tires. If anything, down the road I'll get 245/45 or 275/40's which, I believe are shorter then my current tires. I want to know, will 3.73's be too much gear for my street tires?

Not too much - 3.73's will be fine.

Not at all. you could go a little steeper than 3.73's. 4.10's go really well with an AOD on the street.
