So a friend of mine got an aftermarket CD player for his 94 Cougar and he gave me the stock one. Right now I've got the stock cassette player on my '90 LX, so I definitely need to upgrade it, LOL! Now the thing is that the connectors are different, so I'm wondering if I can get this thing installed or not. Remember I'm a college student who can't afford $200 on a sound system. :nonono:

Well, thank you very much in advance!

The connectors probably won't fit due to the factory amp in the Stang. You can get a connector from crutchfield to bypass that if you really want to, but like Mavrick said, you might just want to go the extra mile and buy a new deck for a100 bucks and call it a day. :nice:

If you do try it, you need at minimum the piece that plugs into the back of the radio. Any haynes or chilton manual can tell you what color wire goes to what termination (power, left, right, ground, etc).
