Help with 2V Teksid

Hi, new guy here, how's it going? I don't have a running mustang, just a wrecked Cobra, but I have found your forums really helpful.


I am building a 2V Teksid. It is a 96 Cobra short block and NPI heads. My question is the timing Chain guides. I have heard two camps on this one. I know you need to use the 2V stationary guides. My question is which Pivot Guides, 2V or 4V? Some say to use the 2V guides with the explorer pivot stud(I don't want to drill a larger hole in any guides) others say to use the 96-98 Cobra arms which also fit the explorer pivot stud. I already have a set of the Cobra but if the geometry is off I don't want them to wear out prematurely. Can anyone help me sort this out?

Use 2v chains with 2 valve heads/cams. Good choice on the Tek sid block!

both. Esp if it looks as if your having alignment issues by mixing and matching.
