How should I adjust my adjust my speedometer for my 4.30 gears? I don't want to pay $100 for the Speedcal from Dallas Mustang. Do they make a plastic gear to put into the transmission for 4.30s that are accurate and last? If so, were can I find one. Would investing in a Hypertech Programmer be worth the $300? Thanks for the help in advance.

Just get the Speedcal from Dallas Mustang, that way you can change your tires and then makes some quick switches with the speedcal and your speedo wont be off then either! Where at in Indiana are you located at?

They do not make a transmission speedo gear for 4.30's...they only go up to 4.10's and those aren't that accurate...the only way to accurately compensate for 4.30's and to have your speedo exactly on is to get a speedcal...they are very easy to install, 15-20 min tops once you get the shifter bezel off and the car up in the air...

And you can buy them from brothers performance for $85

Keep that stock speedo gear in and get a Speedcal. Changing the speedo gear causes the speedo gears to mech closer and they WILL overtime melt/strip. This forces you to remove the transmission tailshaft to replace the speedo drive gear! It happened to me and it sure wasnt fun! I really wish I spent the money on the speedcal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
