whats the consensus on engine maintenence for mustang gts, lets say getting engine flushes, having injectors cleaned, which sysnthetic oil is best, etc.
if anyone has experience going to say a jiffy lube type place where they perform these things and change tranny fluid, etc. how did it go? was it worth it? or people take their stangs to ford dealers for these services. thanx for the help....i know how to maintain a vehicle , but for this car i currently own i really wanna care for it and also not waste money if i dont have to, rather save that for modding....:flag:

An engine oil flush is really for those that haven't changed their oil in a while, say 10K. I believe when I worked at Ford they suggested a trans flush every 30K. An injector cleaning is good every 50K I believe, using a kit that taps into the fuel rail and runs off the cleaner, while the fuel pump is turned off. Preventive maintance helps in the long run.
