Just ordered a Spal fan. Have a few questions...

I need to finish my AC install.. I just want to make sure my cooling system is sufficient.

Here is my current set-up:
*302 crate motor from Ford
*Northern aluminum radiator
*Edelbrock aluminum water pump
*180 T-stat

As far as the current, although temporary, fan set-up:
*Stainless flex-fan, no shroud (I know, big mistake):nono:
*14" Zirgo (junk, I know) electric pusher fan in front.

Since I don't want a mechanical fan, I will be switching to a 16" Spal puller fan. I don't want the engine driven fan because it would cost a fortune to have a shroud built, to my standards at least...:nonono: And, I like the sound of an electric fan- they sound "hi-tech"...

Without air, this current set-up never lets the engine go above 180. Once I install my condensor, will the 16" puller be strong enough to cool the engine? Or am I looking at enlarging the radiator support for a bigger radiator?

Any comments would be appreciated!

Oh, this is a '65 coupe. The air is factory, although every component is new (evap, condensor, compressor, etc.)

Here is a pic of the current set-up:

Now you can see why any cheap shroud won't cut it..
