Damn man luck has shined on you for a day! I don't wanna sound holy roller so i'll make it short...i'm sure you probably already think the same thing.....of course you know this story could have ended a lot of ways, not to mention end your life and maybe a few others...play safe man!
As for the control arm....that's F'ed up...i've never seen one bust open like that. I expected to see the torque boxes ripped out or something. I'd be calling up the manufacturer and bitching up a storm.
