They just opened it back up for climbing for the first time since 2004. As soon as the snow melts down a bit more, they will open it for climbers to get an up close and personal check of the crator....

Not according to the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument website...

"Mount St. Helens Is Currently Closed to Climbing
Updated: 31 May 2006 - Mount St. Helens is currently closed to climbing due to volcanic activity."

Looks like they may have opened it for a few days, then shut her back down again.... I'm trying to keep my eye on it. I want to see it. We've thought about running a "black ops" trip to the top, and summit in the AM. Doesn't look like we'll have to.
