its an 89 vert. My power windows do not work on the whole car. The fuse is still good in the fusebox. I heard something about a circuit breaker before?? Any info on what I could do to get this working

Thanks, Greg

As I recall, you should have a circuit breaker in the fusebox itself (not a fuse). I'd double check that situation. Then start checking in/out voltage at the switch.

Well I just took off my door panel and I looked at the wires going to my switch.. One of the wires melted to where it should go in the switch. If that doesn't work, would it cause all the windows in the car not to work??

Was it the feed wire to the switch? If so, repairing that might be all that's needed. Otherwise, who knows if other wires didnt also melt.

No juice to motor

I went out with my volt meter and checked what I could. The circuit breaker in the fuse box is getting juice. The power wire going to the p/w motor is getting no juice. None of the wires on the switch are getting juice (including the lock buttons). Is there a relay somewhere along that wire that could of crapped on me? Any help would be appreciated

Testing the motor can be tough because you need the switch and wiring to be intact and you need to be pressing the switch.

If you can restore the power to the switch, then testing the rest of the system (if needed) becomes easier.

No relays that I know of. IIRC, you will find the main PW and (for sure) the PDL wiring connectors at the top of the driver kick panel (remove the panel and you see them near the top of where the panel would be). I might do some testing there.

Good luck.

On the verts the circuit breaker you mentioned is the rectangular silver box mounted on the rear stud of the starter solenoid in the engine compartment. I had that go bad on my 93 vert and my windows stopped working.
I don't recall now where I purchased a new one...Ford or Auto Zone? That would definitely cut the power to your whole window system.
Hope this helps,
Ken

I dont have a Vert but have that same small box on my Starter Solenoid and I thought I remember reading in my Service Manual that it was a Breaker or Relay for the P/Ws.
