I am trying to decide between two hoods,
https://cervinis.com/product.aspx?car=1&id=1208#1177 kr1177 cervinis

and

https://cervinis.com/product.aspx?car=1&id=1208#1177 mrbodykit gts ram air

the cervinis hood has a ram air kit that directs the air directly over the airbox
I will scan a picture of it in and post it here later today. It is on their magazine ad, but not on their website

My question is this
I have a demolet CAI and obviously their will be probs with the kit hitting the air filter shield on the CAI. I dont know if I should get the cervinis with the ram air kit and try to mod the shield, forget about the kit altogether.

I probably like the mrbodykit one a little better, the scoops blend into the hood a little better. But although it says ram air and is functional, the air isnt directed over the CAI.

How big a diffference is it performance wise to have functional ram air vs having it directed directly over the ram air?

Finally, what if I just took off the shield on my CAI? Wouldnt the air from the directed ram air kit make up for any air cooling effect the shield provided? I am wondering if I should just sell the CAI and get teh directed ram air kit and hood and use it with stock

I would think taking the shield off the kit would be effecitve to use with the kit without losing the point of having cai. please let me know your thoughts.
