Need help with replacement transmission
I just recieved a rebuilt transmission for my 93 5.0. the one I removed was not the original but matched my original configuration. Looking at the clock cast markings I believe the removed was a 1988, the replacement has a clock casting with 04 in it, 2004? I guess. The difference is the original is a Borg-Warner and the replacement is Tremec, the case appears to match with the exception of the top cover. The orriginal has an extra switch that I believe is a neutral safety switch and the new one does not have any provisions for this switch. Also the front bearing cover casting has a longer extension that supports the through bearing tube slider. Will this transmission work and if so what do I do with the wiring for the switch?
