Stupid Question

Ok guys, AFR heads, the heads have numbers on the bottom...... 1234, and 5678, which i am sure refers to cylinder location......However the smog hole seems to be on the front of the 1234 head, and the vice versa, so if i put the smog hole to the rear on pass side of car...... i will have to use the 5678 head. Does that make sense or am i going wrong here


i must add that the smog hole appears to be plugged...... thats how i got them......and i couldn't break it loose...

the heads should be able to go on either way. the smog hole is on both sides of the head. on the front it is plugged by the accesory bracket bolts. if the heads are one way, it seems like the company that sold you the heads may have plugged the wrong holes.

thats what i thought.....so i will just put the 5678 numbered head on the passenger side and be ok.....
