Engine Ticking Sound From The Engine Bay.

  1. Well I have multiple problems but the first one is there's a ticking sound coming from inside the engine bay on the passenger side. I smell exhaust too, I'm assuming it the headers but I've check and I can't find a vacuum leak.

Second problem : I have a low rpm when idling...something around 600-700 and a bit sluggish when you step on the gas.

Third problem : if I come to a complete stop and quickly press on the gas the car sounds like it chokes for a split second and then takes off.

My question is how do I go about finding these problems and fixing them?
  2. No body has had this problem or even has some tips on how to fix it?
  3. Your first problem sounds like an exhaust leak. I would go through and tighten all of your exhaust manifolds and if that doesn't help go under the car and tighten the nuts at the y. They are known to come loose.
