Total timing

Just wanting to know what the Boosted cars are running for total timing after they are in boost on a SBF. I think im looking at about 22ish after i have 8lbs going into the motor. Does that sound about average?

Really going to depend. Fuel, compression, how hot the air intake is. etc etc.

Just get used to looking at your plugs would be my advice.

what he said. usually forced induction motors dont like more than 28-32 degrees total timing. the best way to find out is put the engine on a dyno and make a few pulls.

I got it figured out.. thanks for the input.

With only 8 and an IC made from t-bird cores I was running as high as 25. May have been able to go farther with it but never tried.

I ran 30-32 on my 6-71 deal on pump gas and 9-11psi.
