ok guys whats the best short throw shifter i can get this p.o.s.? lol... an what is the best clutch? im going to be changing my fluid over to the royal purple synchromax manual transmission fluid soon so hopefuly the lil bit of trouble the tranny does give me will go away

ANy shifter is better. What is best depends on your preferences. I liked my MGW.

Like stated above, any aftermarket short-throw shifter is an improvement.

Like the shifter, the best clutch will be based off of people's opinions. There are alot of good ones out there. Spec, Centerforce, even the Ford Racing King Cobra is a good clutch(not good for blown or nitrous applications).

In my opinion, the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch is a good smooth clutch.

mgw for sure best quality for the money with the most adjustments

MGW is the best shifter around...PERIOD! The handle bolts around the shaft. Most shifters bolt to the side of the shaft making it have a not so smooth feel. I have had a:

B&M Pro-Ripper
Steeda Tri-Ax
Pro-5.0
MAC

and the MGW is quiter, shorter, smoother and quicker than ANY of those! It's worth the couple extra bucks.

What is wrong with your TR3650 that you're calling it a POS? And why do you think changing the fluid is gonna help it? What are you trying to get rid of?

Wanna build some leg muscles......you can get a McLeod Twin Disc Street clutch like I have..... And I second the MGW....I havnt had one, always had pro 5.0s, but I can only imagine how nice the MGW's are

i have had good luck with upr shifters. i am in the process of installing a cobra clutch as we speak. also, i have had god luck with centerforce clutches.

I've had a Steeda Tri-ax shifter and now have a MGW. The Tri-ax shifts better but it was too noisy for me.

Im not going to say one is better than another because I havent tried an MGW, but I love my tri ax! Its really quiet as well w/ Cobra Bob's shifter gaskets. You can faintly hear trans noise while cruising in 5th.
