New guy. Picked up a 01 cobra the motor was rebuilt out west and now it's in NH. A valve seal or seals are leaking and I plan on pulling the heads this fall. The rebuild was warranted but was to far for the previous owner to bring back. Would if harm the valves or motor to run until the repair? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks ron

Shouldn't hurt anything, just keep the miles as low as possible. Burning oil will just carbon up the valves and chamber unless you are burning a boatload of oil then you can carbon up the rings and get blowby and have to free up the rings.Probably not good for the cats if you still have them. Usually the seal/guides just smoke a bit when taking off from idle(high vacuum sucks the oil by) or decelling so no problem but if it is laying down a smoke screen then all bets are off.
