Saw a friend at Knotts cars show, and he asked us if it had been dynoed yet. When we told him no, he offered 2 pulls at a very special price. Couldn't say no.
We'll try for a picture. Other than the drip pan that smacked his car head on at 70mph, it was a pretty good day.
First spin it only put down 380hp/450/tq @ 4200. Tires started spinning really bad. Enough to were I guess it almost looked like a burn out. Wish I coulda seen that, but was busy staring at the LM-1. On the way to the dyno, we made a pull on the freeway and it showed a rock steady 10.7 to 1. So when we got there, Rich took out a jet. I was hoping to see what one jet would do, but the LM-1 showed 10.4 on the dyno, even after taking a jet out. Dyno said as low as 9.9 to 1, but LM-1 was different. But there was fuel coming out the back either way.
Second was a little better. I got my fat ass in the trunk with another guy that weighs like 260, and they still spin. It did get a little better though. 400/503, again @4200. Dyno operator said he was creeping up, and it would spin the tires as soon as he would go WOT. They would spin, and he would back off. So both HP and TQ peaked at 4200. Cam should should stop at about 63-6400. Who knows what it coulda done. Figure even if the TQ was done, the HP should have kept going, at least for a another 2k or so.Eh, 9.7 to 1 CR, and 18 deg of timing, and 7/11 CA pump gas.
