tattoo?

I like tattoo's with meaning. The pointless ones with no background or meaning are the ones i dont like. So whats your reasoning for getting something to do with a mustang?

The only tattoo's i can see myself getting are something that has to do with my family. But even then...im hesitant. Maybe if i think of a cool enough idea one day.

If you're not sure what to get, don't get anything at all.

If you know you want something. Wait awhile and if you still want it and you're fully aware you want it on your body for the rest of your life, get it done. :nice:

And don't pick something out of a book. Get it done custom.

Honestly, whats to say your taste in cars wont change in 5 years, and youll regret it. I have almost sold my car 100 times, and went with something else, and would have had to kick my own ass for having a mustang tattoo..

Get something that could have multiple meanings to you, if you geta running horse, i could see that, but if you get something like the mustang with the 3 bars behind it, or the ford emblem, you could wind up regretting it.

Look for some posts on here, someone recently got one, and a few others have them as well. If you are that hardcore about them, then more power to ya, but think about the future first is my only advice.

IF you decide to do this (as stated think very long and very hard) with taking your age into consideration, please get it on a shoulderblade or somewhere not visible in work attire. You don't want your running horse you so proudly tatooed on your forearm looking like a sagging jackass that you have to wear long sleeves to cover up down the road when you choose a line of work.

werd....but personally i will never have one... to each his own..

I agree dont get one that is just about mustangs, if you like go fast stuff get something that has to do with the hobby in general. I know personally I may end up owning a ls1 or something someday so it would be stupid driving around in a GM with a 5.0 emblem on me or something.

I actually have tattoo's so i'll post my $.02 ;) The most important thing is finding a GOOD artist, NOT a scratcher! Once you find a good artist go to them with your idea and they will work with you and scetch something up and make changes as necessary.

I go in monday to start the outline on my 1/2 sleeve :D I already have something on my arm, but i'm adding to it to make it a 1/2 sleeve.

You can get a tat about Mustangs if you want because you have one now and you can remember it by having ink done for it.

You only live once....who wants to make it through life without any scars? I don't wanna die with a brand new body, i wanna die at the end with a body beat all to hell and back so i can say i actually lived.

I've somewhat thought about getting a Mustang-related tattoo also. I like the Dashboard Emblem in our cars. The Running Pony with the Red, White, and Blue behind it. To ME, the Mustang kinda signifies America as American Muscle is part of this country's history. I PERSONALLY would consider it the same as getting an American flag or an Eagle. That is just what I think.

Just take your time and don't rush into getting a tat, you're only 18 and your view of such things will change over time. I've got a few tat's, I think my first was when I was 21 or 22. Just make sure it's something you really want, and don't do it impulsively. Custom work would be a good idea, since it's more personalized. Running horse might be nice. Just don't get any demons or skulls for a few years, you won't want them after a certain age. I saw a kid your age getting a green demon-like monster all down his entire arm, his first tat. What a fututre nightmare, I tell ya'.

so being scarred by ink means your body has been beat to hell and back????? Ive gotten plenty of shots and iv's and they didnt make me feel anymore beat up:shrug:.

as for a car tattoo go for it. Its not gonna bother me. I think it would be kinda redneck though.... Kinda like getting a big black #3(Dale Earnhart) tattooed on your bicep.

You obviously miss the point....and that's why tattoos just aren't for everybody :nice:

Tattoos and scars are different things.

A young kid stepped in from the cold
And he ordered up a drink
He said don't look surprised old man I'm older than you think
If I was the talkin' kind I could tell you a thing or two
And since you didn't ask, let me show you my tattoos

He said I got this rose in Memphis in some back old alley dump
Picked this eagle up in Dallas, man I sure was good and drunk
And you know the way I see it, if it gets any worse out there
A guy like me hasn't got a prayer

The old man poured some coffee
He said this one's on me
Set down his cigarette and rolled up his sleeve
Said take a good look here my friend
You see what these are
Just my ragged old and jagged ordinary scars
He said I got this one in Paris in a war 'fore you were born
And this one when I was half your age workin' on my daddy's farm
And you know the way I see it, son you ain't seen what I've seen
Cause tattoos and scars are different things

He said I've been here for all these years
And what I know is this
If you look and listen close
A man will show you what he is
You know the way I see it, you've been 'round but you're still green
Cause tattoos and scars are different things
