well for the last three months i've been looking for a 351w. well i came across 4 of them today. one was in a 1978 stepside. one was in a 83 f150, the third was at a guys shop and it came out of a 78 truck, and the fourth was in a 91 e series van.
alright i didnt get the 2 78 because i have heard about the bad castings
i didnt get the 83 because of the bad casting and the fact that the truck had been on fire and the carb was melted on it( i figured there was nothing good to EVER come from the motor again)
i did put a deposit on the van motor though and will be picking it up monday.
i figured parchisi used a 90 model f150 block the e series van shouldnt be any different and all i need is the block.
does anyone have any idea of the flywheel horsepower these things can hold before they start breaking. i was hoping to do a procharger in the future and try to get 650 at the wheels. is that alot to ask from a late model 351w block.
well thanks for any answers and words of incouragement. and wish me luck i'm off to start a HUGE project.:SNSign:
