you decided on the engine combo yet?

Mine took a **** on me after 15 years of driving 3 kids around to school and the store. Damn stock T5!

I've got another T-5 patiently waiting on my operating table. Hopefully I can save it.
all T-5's are a lost cause, go tko-600![]()
Yeah, but they are small, light, and I can rebuild them with my eyes closed.
I'd rather go G-force in a T-5 rather than a 3550-based trans. I just light the compact, light design and servicability of the T-5 over it.
Ship it here when you take it out! lol
Well I go through first then second then third and don't even really get into itwhen all of a sudden - BOOM! It grenaded.
I some how got the car back into third after several minutes of forcing it, not sure how, it sounded like a blender inside. coasted it all the way home in third and rolled into the garage. don't even have reverse gear.
Next year - manual valve body - C4 with hurst quarter stick!

95% of the time 3rd gear is what breaks in a t5. You clearly broke 3rd gear. Soooo, you attempt to get it back into 3rd, succeed, and then drive it home in 3rd...
Oh, have fun with the girlomatic. An auto is only faster than a bad driver.
And they shift like butter. I rebuilt mine with an APW gearset at least 10k miles ago I believe, maybe closer to 15. It's seen more powershifts than I can even imagine, several a day, and it loves every minute of it.

ive got a screwd t45 if ya want to revive that one too...
just curious, have you ever done one and how hard are they over a t5?
