In this month's issue of Automobile magazine, their long term test GTR needed new Brembo brakes. Here's the quote from the article..
"22,872 miles The brake squeal is unbearable, and our dealer tells us that it's time for replacement. Total cost for pads, discs, fluid and labor? A staggering $7346!"
Notice that the Brembos lasted only 22K miles. There is also only one supplier to get replacement parts for these. Now, I realize there is probably a GTR premium but are the new Mustang Brembos going to cost thousands more than normal brakes to replace? And wear out twice as fast? Are the Brembos that are new to the GT the same as on the GT500 and if so what's their longevity and replacement costs been on the GT500?
