Was thinking mls but went with 933pt1I didnt read back through this, but what head gaskets did you have?
Wish i was pal...lolI didnt read back through this, but what head gaskets did you have?
Man I feel for ya ...... before you go off the deep end.... ttake a breath,,,, then check the coolant for exhaust gas. and then pull the plugs,, if they are wet or whitewashed..... do a leak down test... that will tell you if it is an intake or head gasket@TOOLOW91 ,@a91what ,@mikestang63 ,@Onefine88 and everyone else.....your not going to beleive this!
Went over my car with the guy, idled perfect, took me for a drive, the drivability was amazing, zero bucking, went through a few gears so smooth!...it was perfect!!!!!!!
Paid him, drove it for about 20min to bring it home, gave it some throttle, hit about 5psi,seemed good??..wanted to go find a nice quiet road to finally feel this thing....then???......wait a minute?.....why is my temp so high??....hmmm?....fans on???....wait?....rad cap is cold??.....WATER IN THE OIL!
Now,i know its not his fault?....and i was supposed to go back for a quick retune with bigger injectors and a 7psi pulley........f##########k!....but nowwwww, its back to lets see if intake gasket failed, but its most likley the head gasket of coarse!!!...best case!
That all i have to say right now im deflated again...
Prob with Mls is the surfaces need to be prepped for itWas thinking mls but went with 933pt1
not a fan of MLS ... rather have the HG be the fuse in the system than my piston, rod or head.Prob with Mls is the surfaces need to be prepped for it
Sent from my iPhone using my fingers while my auto correct makes me seem illiterate
Im not either man!!...lol....not sure what i should do now...lolnot a fan of MLS ... rather have the HG be the fuse in the system than my piston, rod or head.
Now guys....you saw the tune?....and we are going with less boost now 60injectors....he said hes used the 933pt1s before, but he personaly always uses mls himself with all boosted aplication unless somone like me dosnt want to use them....
It still "might" be lower intake bla bla bla.....but i guess go with mls??....or im pulling this sc out i cant take it anymore!....lol
he drove with me for about 20 mins and it ran great,i took it,just gave it a couple quarter throttle blips, then i noticed my temp, ran fine the whole time,no smoke that i can tell, vac guage shows the same...who knows.....i have to do all the tests now againbull****... if you need MLS HG to keep the HG from blowing then your tune is off.. THe AFR was safe on the dyno runs...
So the car ran fine until you got into the boost? How many times and how hard until the temp went up? Did you hear any pinging, any thing pop, any puff of smoke, oil leak... are all of teh vacuum lines hooked up.. coolant level correct. is the chip set he burned a flip chip? Is the timing spout in? seems odd as the dyno puts a load on and he took it up to 6000 rpm.... how many pulls did he do..
Checked and tested the kit it all works...not sure about intake temps....That really sucks. I don't like MLS gaskets myself. I did ALL my own tuning, 8 psi starting at 1800 rpm. It was sketchy at first to say the least, I can't believe I have not blown something apart yet. We run the same afr in boost, what was the total timing? Intake temps? Did you run/runout of meth?
