Just wanted to know what you guys think will happen to the The cobra's price once the new 2005 comes out....will it stay relatively the same, go up, go down??

I'm think of trading up to a cobra from my V6...maybe before the new body, or maybe after depending on avail and price in the next little while...there is a couple on the lot near me right now with 0% interest type a deals, I could scrap some cash together and try to sell mine or should I wait to see what the new style does to the price of the current model??

If you keep waiting for the next best thing thats all you will ever be doing...waiting.

Sell the v-6, put a decent amount down on a Termiantor and HAVE FUN. If you havent drivin one, you wont believe the difference between it and your current car.

No I have never driven one, but I have had a ride in a Lightning... :nice: I been thinking of taking a test drive but I'm sure that would be it, I'd be sold! I would let it interfer with my judgement and hand them all my cash.

There will not be another Cobra until the 07 model so its either a 03 or 04. Like someone said you will not believe the diff..

I bought my 03 late in the year (Dec). I was going to wait until the 05 came out to get a better deal. But decided against it because its like rolling the dice. If the 05 with its projected 300hp doesnt do well the Cobra will be saught after and the dealers will ask more for them. That is what happen back in 1994 when the sn 95 came out. The new engines sucked so bad people scambling trying to find fox bodies. Just think back to when the 03 first hit showroom floors and dealers were asking $42,000 for them.

I paid 33K out the door :nice:

They won't let you testdrive them around here. Hell, I didn't even get to hear mine start up until the day I went to pick it up.

If you're going to trade now is the time to do it. Freedom's got 2 coupes left (white, red) and 5 verts, and the interest rates are 0% for 48 or 1.9% for 60.

The red coupe is gone, what colour was that anyways, sunfire or what do they call it, it was a beuty. ...I don't know if I want white...and I don't want a vert, too rich for my blood. I know the interest rates are great that is why I'm considering it and with the thought of no SVT till 07...I'm kinda stuck here.

Hey Bunny Power...how much did you pay anyways iof you don't mind me asking. I know sticker price is 42...I figure I could talk em down a bit!

That one was a redfire. The color was supposed to be metallic, but it looked like a deep flat red/maroon up close.

The 07 thing was what pushed me over the edge too. You might be able to talk them down a bit, but don't hold out too much hope because the coupes seem to be going pretty fast and I don't know if they've got any more coming in. I technically paid sticker for mine, but they gave me a sweet deal on my trade-in, I think one of the salesmen actually bought my GT before I even dropped it off. :)

September 6th, 2003

I traded a 2002 Sonic Blue GT 5 speed with 43,611 miles for $14,500. No mods but clutch cable, quadrant and triax. A couple days later it was on the lot with a sticker saying $19,900.

I bought a 2003 DSG 03 Cobra Coupe for $30,400.

The Cobra was stickered at $35,000+. I got the X-plan price ($32,9XX) and a $2500 rebate on top of that.

They let me test drive mine. I drove it about 6 miles. Didn't beat on it. Just looked for problems and vibrations, etc. I had previously test driven a silver 10th anniversary Cobra coupe a week before at another dealership. The rebate from Labor day weekend expired and the new one was not issued yet, so I didn't buy that night.
