I'm with SANZ - I, err, rather, we (my wife drives the 01, I drive the 02) and the Pro 5.0 is much preferred. More race car like, shorter shifts, stronger springs. The Tri-Ax isn't bad, it's just more like stock. Plus the Tri-Ax handle has a tendancy to channel excessive vibes as it is aluminum rather than steel as the Pro 5.0 is. Both can be noisier than stock, but this has a lot to do with what knob you put on top. The OEM leather knob is very quiet. My fat knob is quite noisy, but hell, like the exhaust at full trot, who really hates a little gear whine? Haven't we all watched a car race on TV via an in-car camera and heard all the sweet noises and wished that was you driving? Or, at least, wished that your car sounded a bit like that race car?SANZ said:I have the Tri-Ax. But if I had to do it again I would get the 5.0. I drove my cousins 01 with the 5.0 and liked it 10 times better.

Tri ax is "more like stock"? Are you kidding? It's nothing like the stock shifter. Good short shifts no more missing any gears. Most people are pretty happy with either unit. I'm totally satisfied with my tri ax...as far as gear whine, it's not that bad. I don't mind the little bit of noise that it makes.twogts4us said:I'm with SANZ - I, err, rather, we (my wife drives the 01, I drive the 02) and the Pro 5.0 is much preferred.
