i am gonna get the tool from autozone tonight so i can start honeing my block can anyone tell me how hard it is? how long do you hone it? how much do i take off? i am gonna start puting my block back together stock with my blower so i can drive it i am sick of not haveing my stang. :notnice: (gonna use my stock heads/cam/lifter/pushrods/RR's for now but not long)

my 88gt pulls pretty hard for being pretty much stock and with 2.73's, its also speed density i dont really plan on switching to maf i know i wouldnt mind a cam or some heads in the future, but for now i just want the car to run haha
 
As long as the cylinder walls aren't scored too bad, you can hone and re-ring your motor yourself. I use the spring loaded 3-stone hone first and finish off with a ball hone. You may also want to mic the cylinder bores to make sure they are true, this checks the cylinder diameter throughout to sleeve.
