Halo headrest install HELP

Hey guys, Before I destroy my seats could someone tell me how to remove the original headrest from the seats. I have a 1988 Stang and Im converting to the Halo Headrests. Thanks for any help

To release the headrest you must use a thin metal piece kinda like a slimm jim about one inch wide and 2 to 3 feet long.Pull the headrest up all the way then slip slim jim down the front as far as you can.Now push down both the slim jim and headrest at the same time about all the way down.Now push down slim jim down more,about 2-3 inches should do.Now keep slim jim down and pull up hard on headrest!That should do it.

I just unzipped the bottom of the seat cover and reached my hand up the back with a small flat blade screwdriver til i found where the headrest snaped into the notch and pryed out on it with the screwdriver and pulled them out. Pretty simple.

Yeah its pretty simple. I changed mine and I found it alot easier to take the backs of the seats off. My arms just weren't long enough reach up the back of the seat.All u need is a flat blade screwdriver. If u don't have to take the backs off it shouldn't take five minutes
