RPMs at idle?

I've been trying to get my car to idle properly but haven't been successful. I know that if I hook up a voltmeter to the TPS that with the key on engine off it should be at about .95DC. I have to set mine to about 1.20DC to keep it from dying on me, and the RPMs are at about 1000-1100. I've tried adjusting the idle air screw and that hasn't helped. I have an A9L computer in the car so I have a barometric pressure sensor, but I've check that and it reads 160hz, which is fine. The fuel pressure is at about 43 and timing is set at 10*. Any ideas how I can get the car to idle at around 700 RPMs and have the TPS read .95 at idle?

First of all, when did your trouble begin? Did this happen all of a sudden? To set your idle, use this link http://www.stangtuning.com/showthread.php?t=1430 Besides following the instructions in that post, I think you could also benefit from some more timing. At least 14-16* I would think. I don't know the full details of your combo so it's hard to say on the fuel pressure, but 43 is the average setting, so it should be just fine. As far as trying to get your idle to 700rpm, that depends on your cam. I would think that (assuming all is well mechanically and you have no other existing problems) by following that link you should be able to get your idle very close to 700, but the rpm will vary based on the application. Obviously what works best for some isn't necessarily best for all.

Hope that helps.

Turned out the seal between the upper and lower manifold wasn't tight. We blew smoke into a vacuum line and smoke poured out from there. Tighten it and I finally got to drive the car for the first time, runs great. As soon as I get all the small stuff finished I'll post pics of the finished product.
