I was driving two days ago and I missed a shift and it revved pretty high. Usually the temperature gauge was between 'O' and 'R' in NORMAL, but after revving it that high, it went up to 'A'. So I drove home and it was still running pretty hot, around 'A'. The next day I start it up and drive around and after a couple minutes of driving it was at 'M' and now it stays around RMA all the time. Why is the car running hotter? Is it possible somehow an air pocket go in the system? Also the fan turns on but I don't know if it's supposed to turn on all the time when the engine is hot or just for a couple minutes, because it's only on for a minute or two and then shuts off, and then turns on a couple minutes later. I have a 180 degree thermostat that was installed last year when I did a fluid flush. It worked fine until now.
