Fix for the non retracting seatbelts.

The only problem i have with my seatbelts is the damn passenger side loop likes to hit the interior trim when i hit bumps and make a rattle noise. I can move the seat so it doesn't hit, but it just so happens my passenger is most comfortable in the exact spot where the loop hits the trim over bumps.

I would take the loop off, but it's the only thing keeping the seatbelt buckle from banging against the trim and making a rattle noise as well! :)

So it's basically which noise can i stand the most?

hmmm... I got rid of both of my loops, but don't get any rattle from the pass' side...

Could just be Shrink Tubing

:nice: You could probably just use some shrink tubing on the seat belt and it would give you the same results. I will be trying this later on; I will let you know if this works. Plus you can get black shrink tubing so it will look better. If anybody has already tried this let us know if this works.

what about squeaky seat belts? anybody have a fix for those? if I lean forward or anything when i sit back and the belt retracts I get a nice aggravating SQUEAK...

Mine did the same thing.....i removed the interior trim panel and put a few drops of 3in1 oil on the moving parts and cycled the belt a few times....no more squeek.... :nice:

Try this......go out and buy those little circular felt pads you put on table legs so they don't scratch the floor, you can get them at wal-mart in the crafts section or even at lowes.... cut one of those pads to fit on the loop where it hits the interior trim.....no more rattle noise. I use them on the back of my license plate so the plate does not scratch the paint and when i close the trunk it does not rattle.....works great for that :nice:

I have seatbelt pull-out problems. I took out the retainers on the seats and sometimes the belt just doesn't want to come out.

I have that kind of problem too.

If there is a twist in the belt webbing, and it manages to get pulled into the retractor, the retractor will jam and not release the belt back out again. :notnice:
