Wait a week or less. It just covers it up. It looks nice for a few days then goes back to dirty not looking clean/black.

I had that same problem, which is why I use Duragloss convertible top dressing (#301 I believe) that you can buy at Discount Auto, NAPA and Carquest. This stuff works just as well or better and lasts for months, plus it is not silicone based so it won't wash off.

Try it and you will not be disappointed.

Is this for convertible tops also? My top is charcoal kind of, since car is black. I used blue magic convertible cleaner and it sucks.

Well I've never actually used it on a convertible top, but this product was recommended to my by a convertible Mustang owner, and he loved the way it made his top look.

Here it is...http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=285

Just tape off your trim, or becareful and take your time when waxing around the trim. Then you won't have to worry about which wax you use.:nice:

When I got my Mach 1 the chin spoiler had big white spots on it from where some idiot had gotten wax on it. After a peanut butter scrubbing and some Back to Black you couldn't hardly see them anymore. I hit the spots again a couple weeks later and they were gone.

What is this going to do? Is this just for convertible tops? I already have mothers back to black for trim. How would thi make my top better? My top is just a charcoal color.

It's not just for the convertible top, you can use it also on the cowl cover, mirrors, interior pieces etc...and it's about 100 times better than back to black.

I found that back to black didn't last very long. I like forever black which is a stain....becareful not to get in on your paint though! I'm gonna tape my paint off next time so I can get right up to the edges of the trim.
