My TC has been a dog sense the day I got it, and started puffing black smoke resently and would bairly run! Finaly found the problem this past weekend, a bad fuel presure regulator. Got that replaced and uped the boost to 17psi and wow this car flys!!! So with the car running good I desided to hop it up some more and take it to the track tis weekend. I have never raced on a track, so I wanted to get some practice on my burnouts. I dont want to be the guy who stalls out in the burnout box! I found a sutable back road and set up. revved it to 5k and let out on the clutch and stabbed the brake, all was well and I was making plenty of smoke. I desided I had proporly roasted the tires, so I let off the brake and started moving forward, I went to shift into 2nd when I heard "POW" the car sputtered and died. I was sure I had killed it, but to my suprize all I did was pop the hose off the ic! I put it back together and later today I took a buddy for a ride, once again all went well untill we where on our way back to the shop, I stabbed the gass and hit 18psi in 2nd and "POP" there it went agen. Well after all that I desided I need a BOV, and am getting one tomorrow. I should still make it to the track friday, and plan on posting up and telling all about it. Man I love this car!

Here's some advice: dont let off the gas when you shift to second making a launch, the boost dosent all the way die, making the turbo stop spooling due to the letting out of the gas and it wont make the ic blow off the turbine housing. But if you get a bov this wont be a prob. Mess around with it some more and have some fun roasting the tires!

Bov/bypass should be used over 10lbs of boost all that left over pressure needs to go somewhere once you let off the pedal. Also if your running street tires burning em up is only gonna make you look cool....the best you can do is let some air pressure out and let it eat.
