VT 1's on headswapped

Is anyone running the VT 1's in their 96-98 PI swapped stangs? Reason for asking being that we dont have the same dished pistons and was unsure about possible PTV contact. Also, if you had the PI's and switched could you feelthe difference; worth it?
Thanks

those are a nice upgrade...like 25-30rwhp
you should be ok with ptv as long as your timing is lined up properly but you should have them degreed in anyway but i'm not getting into that debate anymore :)

I have stage IIs with even more compression. The dish isn't where the contact would be anyway so that's a moot point. You should degree any aftermarket cams. I did but they were spot-on one side and 1 degree advanced on the other...safe enough after timing it correctly even with a 32v bottom-end setup.

If the Stage 1s add about 25-30hp, how much do the 2s add? I'm goin with the 2s when I do the swap :D
2's are different, they will lose some low end but pick up in the upper range...i've seen guys post dyno's gaining 25-35 rwhp but its one of those do you have the supporting mods questions? P&P heads/intake/LT's etc to take advantage of the cam....if not i'd go with a st1.

but Jim/Scott are the ones you really should talk to about the best cams for your application.

Well, I'm eventually going to get a twin screw. But not anytime soon. I will be getting long tubes, and p&p heads. About what rpm range are the stage 2s most effective? Will they give me much horsepower over the stage 1s, or is the rpm range just different?

I have stage IIs on my PI swapped 96. I dont think Ive lost any low end. It feels a little sluggish below 2k but with 4.10s Im hardly below that anyways.
Ive got decent numbers for an auto.
