As some of you may know I am currently fighting Ford because of this issue. It only does it when cold. The dealership contacted Ford engineers and they do not have a fix for it yet, so they have asked me to live with it until they figure something out. Sorry but I think that is BS. I paid hard earned money for this car and I do not feel I should have to live with this. I have an arbitration hearing with the BBB and Ford tomorrow and I will bring this video with me. What do you guys think? Would you live with this?

Try taking this TSB with you to the arbitration hearing:

That's Funny - while I'm sitting here reading this my 04 mach 1 is at the dealer right now for the exact same thing! Mine started doing it only in 5th when it was cold. Then it started doing it when it warmed up. The day I brought it in it was doing it in 3rd, 4th, & 5th. Definitely gets worse if you don't bring it in right away. I'll post when I get mine back & hear what they say it was - if I can believe them...

Odd. I had no trouble getting my local dealer to do the TSB on my T-3650. At times I wish I didn't do the fix though, cause my tranny doesn't shift quite as smooth regardless of fluid level or fluid type. Also, I know some people have issues getting into reverse with this tranny, but I didn't have this problem at all until after the TSB.

This has got me worried :( I want to be a proud Mach 1 owner, but not if I have to fix a transmission with 5-40k miles on it!
Yea, I hear ya, it's not only the Machs either, the GTs or any of the Mustangs with the 3650s could have a problem. But as mentioned, some don't have the problem, as a matter of fact a lot more don't have the problem than do.

My friend with an '05 had a tranny problem just like the old ones did so even the new ones could have some issues with the tranny. He ended up getting another '05 Mustang because he was never satisified with the repair of the first one. :notnice:

That's horrific, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because my Mach seems to be runnin just fine after almost about 3 years of spirited driving (knock on wood). I think the problem with the interwebs u get a concentrated group of people who have the same problem and it seems like everybody has that problem. That being said I hope things work out for ya rdksek844.

Very true, people don't post about their perfect 100k mile tranny

I cant even shift mine into second anymore and its been close to two years now! I have been trying to save for a new transmission and there has been a TSB out about the Synchros! I even went to Ford and asked if they could fix it.....they told me nothing about this TSB, WTFK! Do you guys think I should take it back and see if they will do the TSB on it now?
