Try getting sideways in 5th @ ~50mph
Mickey T DR's dont like the rain above 40 lol.

That was definately an oh ***** experience.

I've broke loose in 4th but i let up because i just plain knew better. The only car i've ever driven that could bark/spin 5th was a twin turbo '87 RX7...if you power shifted every gear the boost would peg between shifts and just blow the tires off, but that's on dry pavement.

should i feel bad that some of you guys break the tires loose in 3rd and higher. my car has a h/c/i and im pretty sure it wont do that on dry pavement. or do u mean breaking the tires loose through each gear consecutively till you get to the upper gears?

so i put the back on a jack today and let it idle in first, axle is bent, tried diff wheel and everything. friends dad employs a guy whose dad owns some mustang shop, and he said he can get me a new axle for free. but im gonna need to pay the guy that helps me like 50-100 bucks for helping me change it out. when i accelerate and turn to the left, i can feel the back in wobbling, and i knew something was messed up. so ill just get that fixed next week, and have them put the tire on a different rim and be set. probably an alignment also.

well that sure is an experience to learn from LOL.. I've went a little swirly in 5th with 295's on the rear on the highway just switching lanes.. NOT FUN!.. the best thing to do in that situation is to let off the gas. those white lane lines on the ground can get very slippery when wet!

It's VERY easy to do. I changed my gears by my self with my dad, neither of us had ever done anything with rearends. all you gotta do is take off the diff. cover, take all the drum **** out, push in the axle. Get some needle nose pliers and pull the lil clip that holds the axle in the housing, and then slide out axle slowly and carefully, slide new on in, all the way, put c clip back in. make sure the axle doesn't move forward or backward, fill housing with fluid, done!
