Can't feel the difference.

REALLY??? I traded my 03 (full bolt on's) for a used 05, and the difference is night and day!!! My 05 (with tune) could have easily taken out my 03 (with full bolt on's/tune). The handling from the S197 is light years beyond the New Edge!! I see that both stangs remained/are stock. I am just having trouble believing that you cannot feel the difference. Not trying to be "rude" but is this post serious?:jaw:

the computer controls the throttle now, drive by wire. and it opens the throttle body "smoother" so its not as jerky in turn it doesn't "snap" open like the old cars would when it was just a cable between the TB your foot. A tune fixes it

Brenspeed or Bamachips will fix you right up. There's been a lot of tune talk on here lately. Just look for tune or bamachips or brenspeed and you'll get some good information. A tune is the best things you can do for these cars. I'm very surprised that you don't feel a difference. But a good tune and an intake from one of them, and you'll be in Mustang Heaven.

I don't own a 05+ Gt but I have driven many of them because of my job and I feel a huge difference between them and my old 01.

The other day I went WOT through 3 gears on a stock 05 gt 5 speed many times.

He wanted me to diag a cutting out problem at the top of the gears WOT, also he said his shifter binds when he powershifts. Let me tell you I felt a huge difference, and my 01 gt had 4.10's a off road x, sct tune, K+N and flowmasters

the 4.10's in my old car made them feel about the same SOTP but comapring them with the stock gears it is night and day.

With the 93 octane tune, CAI, O/R H and 4.10s in my auto trans '06, I can't even cough without it throwing me back in the seat a bit:D The tune makes these cars throttle response amazing! A CAI/tuner combo could run you about $600(depending on what/who you go with). By far that could be the best cost effective mod to these S197s. Do a search for CAI and tuners on here and you could be reading for hours!!!!!

Smooth, and quiet, and comfortable, oh my!

First four mods:
1) SLP loudmouth axle back- wake the neighbors!
2) Hurst short throw shifter- crunch, crunch, crunch
3) Lowering springs - ouch!
4) CAI and custom tune - woo hoo!

Now your neighbors hate you, your arm's sore from the heavy shifts, your ass is numb from a long ride and your rear tires are perpetually at half the tread of the fronts. Oh, and your mustang is as it should be. :D
