I really want a set of hood stripes but I can't find them anywhere, let alone a picture of them. Basically these are two stripes that contour to the raised parts running down the hood. I think that some GT's came from the factory with these, I don't want a $100 kit like the one linked, does anyone know of a place to get one and if you have a picture with them installed please share. Thanks!

If it were me ( I agree that I don't particularily like it but if you do then do it!!!! don't listen to us) I would check with local vinyl shops and see what they would charge to cut that out and even install it (some of them are pretty good at it :)

cause that is insanely expensive!!!! For my whole car being striped after being repainted it cost $20 for materials and labour would have been (if it wasn't through insurance) about 1 hour ($40)

Look for places that do big graphics and stuff for company cars and billboards and stuff like that.

If someone has a picture of theirs just print it off the computer and bring it in to them for a quote.

Just my 2.02 cents (yay the dollar is up!!!)

STOP!!!

I have a 2000 Spring Feature GT with those stripes standard. The BEST place to get them is www.50resto.com aka Late Model Restoration. They had them for $75 shipped or right around there when I bought mine (previous owner removed them) to put back on. Quality is TOP notch... here are some pics.

Allthough weather one likes them or not is a subjective choice, IMO they gave my car a really agressive/menacing look because a white Stang is too plain jane without some show.

Applying them is really easy also. I went by eye and they came out very good, you can measure points on the hood to go by also, but its not difficult. The biggest tip is spray the hood and the back of the graphics with a soapy water mixture and they will slide around the hood untill in place, and then squeegee the water out. Not worth paying for if you can peel backing and squeeze a handle on a spray bottle.

I don't see where they are that ugly, you guys are pretty harsh. They wife has some on her car, she got them from Grafic-express.com. Her's say Mustang, and I agree the white cars just look so plain jane. There are colors I wouldn't do stripes on but it works on white and a couple of others. Don't listen to all the na-sayers, it's your car do what you like. Of course her car has been bashed on here a couple of times, haters.

Those stripes are pretty fugly IMO. Get a bullitt style blackout, like the 35th mustangs, or some full on rally stripes. Those hood stripes FTL!

I would if I had a raised scoop:nonono: I love everything about the mach1's IMO they are the best looking of all 94-04's. A blue mach1 with rear window louvers is:drool: Wish I had the $$$.

Thanks everyone for your help!! I have decided that I will use the $ on finally getting a x-pipe. power before looks:lol:
