I want to install PI cams and intake on my stock romeo heads. I have heard that you can keep the timing set with an anderson tool and remove just the cams with newer romeo pi cams and slide the cam gear back on. Have any of you guys done this, and how hard will it be? I just dont have the money to spend on the whole PI conversion.

Thanks,
Adam

This is a simple install IF you use and Anderson tool or the Ford tool to change cams. I did it and it was simple, but I took my time and re-checked and torqued everything. This is a very cheap mod and worth the effort.

Make sure you read everything you can. The intake swap and cams can be done independently of each other without too much overlap of work.

A suggestion? DO the intake swap first and if all is well then tackle the cam swaps. That way if you have issues you can troubleshoot without too many issues with the combined work. You can also decide after the intake swap if you have the ability to tackle the cams as the level of difficulty increases a bit.

I did it without the tool most people say the tool is a pos anyways. Just take your time it isn't a quick and simple job but it is far from impossible if you half way know your way around a wrench.
