Ok so like many of you I love the power and the sound of an American made V8 engine. I was raised around all sorts of muscle cars growing up from Cudas and Challengers to Mustangs and GTOs. Well we all know the sad end the original muscle car era came to by the mid 70s. Well there is talk of it happening agin by the year 2020!

It may be good int he sense that the value of all our cars will sky rocket because they will be so rare. hahaha. Oh man the value of the oldschool muscle cars is so rediculous. For example my old man used to own a 1973 Dodge Challenger Ralley edition with a 340 motor. I saw a clone of that same car sell for around $150,000! FOR A FREAKING CLONE! It wasnt even the real thing. Oh man could you imagine if my car was worth that much in the next 30 some odd years.

I would much rather have smaller displacement DOHC V8 with solenoid controlled valves. Get rid of cam shafts. That way you can vary every aspect of the motor. Shut what ever cylinder you want down for efficiency and make it rev to at least 8000. Variably geometry turbos and manifolds to top it off. Build boost very low to build torque as well, also optimize "cam" for operating conditions. Sorry for my spelling errors.

You can get most of that technology in a Porsche, not a Ford - and don't expect it any time soon...or ever ;)

6cly engines is fine with me, just means they will have to make the cars lighter to keep the performance anywhere near what "we are used to" - so it's a win/win situation IMO. Noble used a Ford 6-banger and some turbos in their cars, works great :nice:

+1, i'd rock a direct port, solenoid valve 4.0 liter V8. Maybe high crompression with some REAL internals. Nitrous kits would be the first mod, lol

yup and car's were suppose to fly by 2010 so they said in the mid 80's.

another reason to solidify the fact that I'm keeping my current Mustang and not buying new :nice:

oh yeah mine is staying with me forever. we have been through to much to part from one another lol. it might be kinda cool though to have a turbo 6 if the internals are just as strong as the terminators. cause heck just simply replace that turbo and upgrade the fuel system and up the boost lol.
