ok i have a zex wet shot kit for my mustang. i now want to make it a direct port system but dont want to buy a whole new kit with bottle and everything cuz i already have that stuff. does anyone kno where i can find jus the tubing and nozzles and fittings and stuff that go to the intake manifold? any help would b great! also im looking at possibly running a 100 shot and wanted to kno if anyone has had any experience with nitrous here and if u have had any major problems from spraying 100 shot...thanks

You should be safe with a 100 shot, you should get it tuned however. The tubing should be universal if you know what size and material it is, have you tried looking on the ZEX sight for the fittings and jets? If not try Corral's classified section under power adders, or just google it.

yea i tried zex but they only sell the whole direct port kit with bottle and everything for like 1100 but dont need all that...thanks for the help ill try those places and see waqt i can find

I just went back to Nitrous Outlet and they sell the NOS stuff...now I said 'all you really need is', but it's gonna add up, especially the Noszles @ $80 EACH!
I bought my whole setup (sans the bottle, purge) for $400 on EBay. I got lucky as that's a great price...but you might find someone who is willing to part with theirs for little coin...

yeah i found some kits for like $550-$600 or so for just the nozzles and tubing and distribution block...i found nozzles for like a little over $50 a piece which still brings it to like $450 or so for all of them but o well...ill check ebay and c if i can find neone that wants to sell me theirs

is there anything any of u recommend doing to the motor to prevent any major damaging from happening? i mean i kno its nitrous and it is the nature of running ur car hard that something will break in time but b4 i actually use it jus figured id ask to b safe...dont want to look like an idiot and go to the track and blow up on my first pass lol

lol you will be fine on the first pass especially since you only want to run a 100 shot. ive run over 15 bottles on the 100 shot 4 on the 150 and 1 on the 50. its still running strong. the rod bearings take quite a beating from nitrous because of the initial hit forcing the pistons back down.

if you really wanted to be safe i would replace the rods and pistons with some forged stuff and then you should be fine to spray something even bigger than a 150. just make sure you pull some timing on the 100 shot. the stock plugs will be fine on the 100 but if you want more go with 2 step colder plugs and make sure they are short nose plugs. dont try to gap down a long nose plug.

nx actually told me too that on a 100 shot pulling timing is not necessary but make sure you are running the stock tune not a chip. the stock tune is made to run rich. but if you do it that way then make sure you have 93 octane in there dont use any less than 93 lol or you could be celebrating the forth of july early lol

I'm running a 125 direct port shot on a stock tune (NOS recommends this as well)with 2 steps colder plugs. A window switch and Fuel Pressure Safety Switch are mandatory IMO. I also have a Plasma Booster and a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump.
I don't know what you mean by "short nose" and "long nose" plugs...?
I still have mine gapped down to .035, but I should be able to open these up now with the PB...I'd like to try .045 for starters...

when i say long nose and short nose i mean the length of the ground electrode. a shorter one should be used on smaller gaps. these are the plugs i got NGKBR7EFS. but yea with a plasma booster you should be able to even open it back up to stock gap or close to it.

Ahh, ok, gotcha. Yeah, with my next plugs, I think I'll split the difference and open em to .045, then if that's ok, I'll go all out to .054. That should help with the 99% of NA driving I do, as this is my daily driver and the performance has definately dropped off since closing the gaps down so tight. Most noticably in the mid range, it just seems sluggish.
