i have a t-5 that just died and i can get a 3550 for a good price and i what wonder how easy would it be to swap into my 91 gt thanks

Bell housing and crossmember . Get new crossmember or one out of a automatic.

I dont recall changing my cross member when I did my 3550 in the 91.

Edit: we cut the welds on the round tubes and slid it into position and rewelded it.

you don't need to reweld it. just cut the spot welds off the tubes. THis will make the tubes adjustable. once you do that, bolt it up. TRANS Isn't going anywhere with the tubes unwelded. we've been running that way (and many others has) for 20k miles on a 300 horse motor with occasion sticky tire launches
