I sold my 90 5.0 vert. and my 89 GT... and bought a 05 GT

It is all stock except 2-chamber Flows. It has black leather interior with the Shaker 1000 and its a auto. 35,500 miles..
I bought it because I have ALWAYS wanted one of the new body style and I loved that it is black on black. BUT I hate all this chrome crap the last owner put on it and the 22's so I have started taking it off.
The chrome trim tail lights are gone and the chrome door handles, that still leaves the grille, mirror covers (which I just can not get off), and the huge ass rims. lol..

I do love the car though it gets the looks for sure!

Thats a really nice 'stang, but I'm with you on not liking the bling. That car will look so much better blacked out I'm looking to do a black chrome or black nickel plating on all of my chrome emblems.


Welcome to the S-197 world. I really miss my '89 LX 5.0, but the new cars are a whole different world. They handle better, are more comfortable, and make great power even in stock form.

Just replace the mirrors with some Agent 47 mirrors.

I think I have a buyer for the wheels tomorrow.. just have to buy a stock set before he gets here.

@ least you can make some money off those wheels and chrome goodies on Craigslist or sumthing. Those wheels are worth $1200+ up here in Canada if the rubber is good

Welcome to the S197 world I used to have a '92 LX 5.0, 95 GT, '00 GT and now the '06 GT. The '06 is the winner hands down!

Nice Stang and at least all of those chrome parts are removable

Just echoing what the others have said, nice car. It's a shame you can't get the chrome covers off the mirrors though. Are you going to replace the mirrors or scuff and re-paint them?

Welcome aboard Stangcrazygirl! Have mercy, but those 22s screem ghetto! Do you have your new wheels picked out yet? Some folks here have really neat black ones. It would have been ideal if you could have sold off the old ones and have new ones ready all in one swap. Keep us posted.

I put some stock 17" GT wheels on her now just until I sell the 22's.

Nothing wrong with stock wheels.
They sure beat the ones the car came with.

And I want to add that hood scoop does not look OEM/is ugly.
Probably another dumb addition made by the previous owner.

OP: Good choice on the wheels. Either those or some 17" bulitts look really good on the car. Perfect ratio between rubber and rim. Maybe AMNick from American Muscle will give you a good deal on stock color parts if you sell him the chromies...

Well after about 20 phone calls and emails I finally got someone to show up and buy them today. Damn those things were a pain in the ass to sell. lol...

Everyone kept asking, Will you take $500? Will you take $600? Will you hold them till bla bla date? One even asked if I would drive them to his house over 100 miles away! One girl wanted me to drive to Pleasant Grove to "show them" to her.. but she didnt have the money yet. lol..

Anyway, that was just crazy. I didnt get near as much as I thought but hey its done. Now.... just need some new wheels!
