i have recently started to swap the motor out of a lincoln mark 8 and am wondering if anyone else has done this and if so what kind of tuning device did you use i am looking to leave the motor all stock for now except fo my exhaust and cold air intake so i was just wondering what will work and what i could possibly have to change.

ok first thing first.......you need to be more specific on what MAKE AND MODEL your putting the motor into AND WHAT MAKE AND MODEL YOUR PULLING IT OUT OF......
so far that i have gathered from the info thus provided you seem tyo have the right equipment...

out of the mk8 imo i would use the mk8 pcm and a 96-98 cobra pcm harness and a 96-98 cobra engine harness..... these are the first things your gonna need

your also gonna need to pull off the stock mk8 intake...ALL OF IT
then remove the imrc's locate a whole intake manifold from a 96-98 cobra as well as the throttlebody everything else is the same...when its all said and done it WILL run but it will run crappy but like everyone else i suggest you take it to a performance shop and have the parameters reset in the pcm

oh you dont really need the cats but you have to at least use the 2 front 02 sensors the have to be hooked up other wise its gonna run worse.....make sure you have everything hooked up >>>including the knock sensors ..it will run without them but its gonna throw off the timing
